HPMC based capsules is made from cellulose, an important structural component in plants. To be more specific, the main ingredient of vegetarian capsules is hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC). Vegetarian capsules offer extra benefits aside from being a good substitution for gelatin capsules.
